Welcome to the Maze, a mission that will test just how far you can push yourself. We have wiped your and everyone else's memories, so don't panic when you can't remember anything, not even your own name. This maze is a series of twists and turns, and every day you and the rest of the group will need to reach the section that will have a giant X spray painted onto the floor. It is very important that you do not get too far behind any day. One other important piece of information. Among you we have chosen one person to be the "Demon". This Demon will kill people every so often. But this person does not know he is the Demon. It is your mission to figure out who it is and take them down before they get you. Keep moving. **Book #3 of The Promise Series** ❝ Heaven is an indefinite spiritual reward reserved for whoever lived morally honourable, whereas Hell is an everlasting holy punishment for whoever have committed morally wrong offences- also known as sins. However, I think there is no Heaven. When you die, you die. There is hell, though. But, I believe that doesn't happen in the afterlife. No, Hell is life on Earth. Being alive and enduring such cruelty is hell. It is nothing but torture and brutality that just is amusement and entertainment for the supposed God above who is laughing his ass off at us while we struggle to survive. ❞ After so many wins and loses in the ferocious battles, the war will come- the final war. And, only one can walk away alive and in victory. The end is near for WCKD and the Gladers. Revenge will be earned. Blood will be spilt. And, it will be absolute hell. Who will be the last man- or women standing? Will the yearned for happiness and everlasting peace be what they had imagined, or will it even feel like the victory at all, or will it instead feel like yet another lost battle? Will the broken promises be reconciled after the heartbreak, or will the heart stay forever broken, no way of being pieced back together as it once was so long ago? ********** ! ATTENTION ! I recommend to read the first book, "Promises that won't last" and then the second book "Promises in Mourning", before reading this one. This is not a stand alone book. Approximately 1000 words per chapter (maybe less, it depends the chapter- so they might be a bit short compared to the first book) ! Content Warning !
