16 year old Hazel has lived in Jerusalem with her expatriate parents for as long as she can remember. Her life uncomplicated and full of the usual teen drama. Suddenly all that changes when she is kidnapped by militia and taken to Nablus a small town on the Palestinian side. There she accidentally meets 18 year old Ahmad and her perspective on love, life and the world dramatically shifts as she finds herself entangled in the daily struggles of life in Nablus. As if adjusting to hostage life isn't enough she has to contend with her dangerously growing attraction to Ahmad and the repercussions it brings to both of them.
