For her whole life Khushala has lived under the British ruling. She starts getting close to the rich white boy from the palace, Mathew. Her not so perfect life is just starting to get better when the British decide to separate India into two: Pakistan and India. Khushala has left everything behind when she moves to  Pakistan in 1947: hopes, dreams, friends and a dead mother. Finding herself completely alone, she turns to her aunt who tries to get her married to 42 yrs old Tahir, when she is only 16, leaving her with the only answer of eloping during this war torn situation.
 Will Khushala ever be able to get the true happiness she deserves?
Will she ever be able to escape into a land  where there is no one to tell her what to do?



OKAII!! I am very very rubbish at descriptions but please give it a chance. I really tried to do something different and along the lines of reality. This book is based on real life events from 1940 onwards.  Hope you enjoy!!!!
