The Bandiachi Deal

In which the mafia strikes a deal with a daunting young witch.

I know I'm drunk. I feel the sloshy disorientation in my mind and take that as a cue to sit down on one of the cushioned seats at a round table with five haggard looking elderly women. This was my first day in Romania due to work and funding this charity event, and I was already making a fool of myself.

The wrinkled old ladies scrunch up their noses at my sagged appearance as I gulp down the last sip of my cup. Their looks intensify as I hiccup, nodding in their direction.

"Sup' I'm Marsello's assistant-Or did I come as his date? I'm not sure." I furrow my eyebrows as the elderly women eye each other cautiously.

"So you've heard the mafia rumors I take it? They aren't true- trust me, I'd have a gun strapped to my thigh if it was true." I say, jumbling my words together as I lift my gown slit to show my thigh.

Strapped onto it with a black leather holster, is a micro grey pistol.
