JABARI: Beyond the Water

Excerpt:
"I've made a lot choices Jabari" , he says this in that same tone. As though this conversation is not even worth his time.

"I was the only choice you didn't have to make, and you still chose not to want me.", I don't want him here, in my space, I want to gut him, make him feel what I feel. His jaw clenches.

"What would you have me do?"

I can't stop myself from throwing my bow at his head.

"All you had to do was love me!"

Her life is changing quickly; she must adapt even quicker.

She is Zuraki; her tribe, her people, secluded on the smallest part of the world. She is special, favored by the moon, a free spirit, still a jouvinile only just recieving her furs, not ready to leave the only home she has known, she feels safe, until he comes for her.

This will be a story of love, hurt, retribution, in a world no-one really understands.
