When I was fourteen, my best friend Michael had told me he had joined a band, and he was going to travel the world and get famous. I had thought, "Oh they're going to play some gigs at a couple of clubs in the area," but no.
He left Australia. He left me.
For three years, he left me to do nothing. I had to hang out with my mum and sister Jennie. I thought for the first year that he would be back soon, but I was wrong.
He never communicated with me again. Three years later, I'm still in Australia, and he's still gone.
Until three boys come into my sister's bakery --Where I work-- and ask for a cake for their friend Micheal's 19th birthday.
One boy, Luke decides to flirt with me.
Then the address written on the paper, and the words "You should come to Mikey's party," come from him.
That's when everything changed.
