Dark Hearts

There was an angel that was cast out of heaven for not seeing things the way his father did. This angel wanted to help the humans, he saw what Nyx's children were doing to the humans. Draining the life from their bodies, murdering them for sport, or food, or just toying with them for amusement. When the angel came to God with his proposal God cast him aside and banished him from heaven for even thinking about defying him.
In this angel's sorrow and anger he gifted to a human girl his blood. His blood gave this human abilities. She became stronger, faster, smarter, keener, more balanced, more focused and so many more wonderful things. But this wasn't good enough for the angel, there couldn't just be one of these humans. He wanted more, so he flew all over the world, to every continent making these enhanced humans. Once he felt he had made enough of these humans, he gifted them with 4 things.

I live in a world where demons, vampires, werewolves and all those creatures that go bump in the night are real. And there are Night Walkers who protect those who can't protect themselves. I've not yet decided if I'm one of those creatures that go bump in the night or am I like the Night Walkers who protect those that can't protect themselves?
