The gods are angry. There are secrets locked behind the large, wooden door of the castle's library-with it, Sage's mother. There are ghosts that haunt the hallways, they linger, whispering their sins to never be heard and they watch through portraits of former kings. Lies that leave the lips of a king so revered by his people, they string along the crowned princess, who wants nothing but to believe her father. When the king decides they all die, that is the command, and so the people of Lythria will do so. When the gods are angry, the people will suffer. They demand blood more than a king mad upon his throne. Nyx is given the command from the gods: remove the sin from the world. And she's forced to kill the target or side with her. Is damnation worth love?

The locals had warned me that no one in their right mind would enter the North Woods alone, not unless they had a death wish. It's a good thing then that I am not in my right mind. Fear had prevented me from returning to this place for years, but the nightmares depriving me of sleep threatened to steal what little sanity I had left, leaving me with no other choice than to confront the source of my apprehension. I was tired of pretending that everything was ok. That I was ok. I needed the nightmares to stop. But in order for that to happen, I needed to uncover my lost memories. The North Woods held answers, of that much I was certain. So here I stand, ready to face my past. If only I could get my legs to move. **FIRST DRAFT - UNEDITED **
