Some romance stories have cliche endings, sappy plots, and above average characters that make the reader feel discouraged, knowing a love story like that is almost impossible for the average person. Well, not this story, anyway. As Adelaide Hall, a senior in high-school, prepares for the horrors of college, SAT's, and all the other incredibly important aspects that can and will define her future, she figures she has no time for a relationship. She's never been the type to attract guys anyhow, which in her personal opinion was a gift from above. Rather than dating because it is deemed as the societal norm, Adelaide decides that maybe dating isn't for her. Until a guy hits her car and swears her off. How else would you expect a realistic high-school love story to begin? Written in the points of view of Adelaide Hall and Jonah Rosings, "Our Story is A Wild One" shows how not every love story has a fantastical beginning, or ending. After an unforgettable summer filled with late-night beach walks and stolen glances under the stars, Rose never thought she'd see Andrew again. Their chance meeting on vacation had been like something out of a dream-a season that shimmered with possibility, only to end too soon when she had to leave without his number. When school starts, Rose's heart nearly stops as she catches sight of him in the gym, his laughter echoing across the court. Andrew goes to her school! And yet, he's always surrounded by friends, a world apart from the quiet beach days they shared. Shy and uncertain, Rose decides it's safer to watch him from a distance than risk the heartbreak of rejection. As the days pass, and with each glance he seems to catch her gaze, Rose begins to wonder if he remembers her too. Could the spark that started on those sunlit shores still be waiting to ignite? Or will Rose let her fears keep her from a love story waiting just beyond her reach?
