Nitika Koda Lahote recently turned 18. Moved away from her hometown of La Push, Washington, when she was 16. The death of her mother affected her worse than she had ever expected. After spending two long years in New York City with her aunt and uncle, Nitika is ready to come home to La Push.
Things have changed along with the people whom she uses to know.
Nitika is pulled into the world you only read about in books, or see in movies. She's not afraid of the new future that is in front of her.
But, when danger comes to a knocking she's forced to throw out what's she learn and what she's known. Friendships will be tested, Families will be reborn, and bonds will break.
