Francisco Carlin is an aspiring music artist and he thought he was doing pretty well. Unfortunately, though, his publicity seems to be fading and he can't keep up with the times. So he does what any hungry songwriter would do. Look up modern music software online. He then stumbles across Vocaloid, a modern singing synthesizer popularized by Japan. Like an idiot, he decides to purchase it and see what happens. It ended up being more dangerous than he'd initially thought. (Vocaloid belongs to Yamaha. Fran belongs to Clare Siobhan.)
