John and Alex have been married for 8 years. Everything was perfect: they lived in a nice home in a nice neighborhood in New York with their two kids, five year old Frances and two year old Phillip. They both have well paying jobs and are comfortable when Alexander gets a call from a well known politician in DC who recently announced his campaign in the recent election who offers him a job to work beside him while running and during office, if elected. The only problem is that Alexander has to move to DC and travels around the country. John only agreed to for Alexander to take the job because he knew this was something he had dreamed about. He thought he could handle the children and the bills and such while Alex was away but he really couldn't.
