This is a Detroit Become Human fanfiction. Welp. I told myself that I was going to wait with this. But alas, I wasn't able to contain myself. I played Detroit Become Human a few days ago and loved it (despite the ended that I got that was stupid and that I'm still salty about. But I have decided to pretend that that doesn't exist. So there.) Connor really fascinated me in the game and quickly became my favorite character with Kara as a close second. And then I fell in love with Connor so here we are. I know that a lot of fans love him too so I decided to make this! Unfortunately, with all my other projects in the works I don't know how often I'll be able to update this, but don't worry! You've always had an interest in androids ever since you were a child. The very thought that technology could create an intelligent life-form that looked just like a human always fascinated you. You quickly became a high ranking student, at one of the top universities for Android studies. To further your training, you were sent for work experience at Detroit City Police Department, and paired up with Lieutenant Anderson and an android named Connor. As you continue to work alongside Hank and Connor, you soon begin to learn things about androids you never noticed before. You also realize that you are finding yourself falling in love with the one person you are not supposed to fall in love with. 'Purple Hearts' puts a unique spin on the events of Detroit Become Human, showing the story of what is behind the scenes, the true feelings of androids, and the lives they struggle to barely survive on the streets. Throughout the story, you slowly begin to see the world in a different light, and through that, you also learn what it means to become human. Who can you really trust when the humans seem more evil than the androids do? The lines blur between the good and the bad; the human, and the android. --- Genres of drama, action, and romance. It follows the direction of the main plot of Detroit Become Human, but I have added various sub plot lines and characters unique to this fanfiction. There is foul language in this story. I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. Also I just want say that I wrote this story and then matched the cover and it matches so well like honestly wtf
