Otto Wood, Geoff Wigington and Awsten Knight are the star swimmers at their prep school, Santa Monica Prep. Ryan Seaman and Dallon Weekes are the star swimmers at Santa Monica Public High. 

These two schools have had a long history of hatred and rivalry that bleeds into the students personal life, pitting the two student bodies against each other on and off the field. 

Awsten, Geoff and Otto hate Dallon and Ryan. The feeling is mutual.
