A few years ago, Kara Stinewell was a nobody. Just the chubby kid who was nonexistent to the eyes of her peers. Kara was perfectly happy just living behind the scenes. No one bothered her, but no one went out of their way to be 'besties' with her, either, and that was just the way Kara liked living, with little attention and a lot of observation.
Her perfect little sphere of just going through life with unseen with no surprises would all come to an end when Kara saves a child that was dangling out the window of a burning building. At that precise moment, she is noticed by an elite group of agents known as nothing but the 'Heroes.' A few weeks after being unknowingly supervised by these Heroes, Kara is taken to their headquarters and offered a position, and once the Heroes offer you a position and show you their headquarters, there is no going back.
Now we return to the present where Kara, now a full-grown woman completely out of her shell, is faced with the mission no spy wants before breakfast: saving the world. Be prepared for a gorgeous spy with a not-so-gorgeous ending.
