Riley dies not even a day later, but Ellie doesn't which confuses her. She goes to her mother's friend Marlene who helps her out by taking her to two smugglers, Joel and Tess, who are instructed to take her to a group of Fireflies who can reverse engineer a cure for the infected. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Now I have to not only keep my feeble body alive, but also protect (or be protected by) my two best friends in the entire world as we all try to survive in a city packed with the Dead.Concluida

Before, when the world spun full circle and people cared about binging shows and listening to their favorite diss tracks from beefing rap stars, the thought of the end of the world was a figurative rumination that was always there but stuck in one's back of mind. How vastly naive that thinking was. The world did end. Figurative became surreal and quite literal as they came down hard and fast; aliens that are bigger than oak trees and faster than a cheetah out hunting to feed their young. They took lives, uncaring about anything except the children they could control and sank their teeth into the youth of our world to use them as slaves for their motives. Scientists had experimented on humans for a long time, making different breakthroughs and some failures... but this one was their most astonishing and regretful discovery.. with a mistake in their calculations as well as their subject. A virus was created and this virus was passed on to Everyone in the hospital lab quickly causing the first zombie infected appearance. At first it was mild... but like a wild fire, it spread round the city and nearly around the world... humanity was pushed back, homes destroyed....bond broken.... and many more problems came. But after all, humans can adapt quickly. And quick did they adapt... creating weapons that work for both infected and mercenaries alike, humanity had found a way to survive again. Despite the population reducing to an absolute needle size... humanity didn't give up... And now.... something else seems to have appeared... something that would affect everything..Concluida
