Set in a grim, high fantasy world, its dark, bloody, and full of tidbits hinting at a much larger world outside the confines of the small mountain village the story is set in. It's my first attempt at writing fantasy, I'm normally more interested in scifi, and I would love to hear what you think about it. Feedback is greatly appreciated. It's a novelette, about 16,000 words. A supplementary piece of short fiction for a more complete series that is currently in the works. This is a second draft, and I am aware it is in desperate need of a good edit, but I wanted wanted to just get it out there. Hope you enjoy.
