Conduits are a sub-species of humans who possess superhuman abilities upon their genes known as the "Conduit Gene". These type of sub-species can harness superpowers from their "Conduit Gene" that enhances their genes to unlock special powers that vary from the individuals.

The city of Empire city had been at peaceful yet troubling for many months, this was until after the events of Empire city's catastrophic explosion that left the city in ruins, shattering the peace and leaving people damaged in the process. The once great and beautiful city of Empire city had fallen, gangs began to form raging through the city to find these "Conduits". During that time of crisis, two couples had their conduit genes activated unlocking their potential abilities though at a cost, those who are normal human were to be installed with fear, jealousy and even prejudice. Leaving the conduits to be rejected as they were named "freaks" and "deviants", Not only that, in some cases to physically attacking them including those who are suspected to be one.
