(Y/n) is fifteen years old, and has just recently moved to Beach City with her mother and father due to financial issues. Things have been rough, and she has been struggling to get around and feel comfortable with her new home.

During her time spent on the beach, she meets this boy, Steven Universe, and he seems to be one of the sweetest people she's ever met. Due to the help from Steven, she's slowly starting to feel comfortable with her surroundings, as well as herself.

She realizes that, over time, she started developing feelings for him, and she doesn't know how to handle it. She really cares about him but knows he already has feelings for his best friend, Connie. She doesn't want to ruin his relationship with her, but she doesn't want to keep these feelings forever, either.

Sometimes, though, it's best to take a risk rather than to stay in the dark forever.
