Passage to Kraälst Ta'ark
Benjamin Mills turns thirteen with the arrival of the Fall Equinox, but he doesn't want to grow up and this means he's one year closer to adulthood. At home, he feels alone and abandoned by the adults that were supposed to be there for him. When the clock strikes midnight, a strange door appears in his basement. Before he could decide whether to open it or leave it alone, it instantly transports him to the alien planet of Kraälst Ta'ark. The aliens that inhabit the planet kill and eat every creature that crosses a door. This makes Benjamin quickly realize that his worries were trivial when compared to being trapped on a world where he's considered food. Only another prisoner can help him escape, but should he really trust her? Can he learn to be courageous enough to face all the dangers and allow the extraterrestrial stranger to help him? ___________________________________________ "It's not the destination, it's the journey." ___________________________________________ YA Science Fantasy novella. ***Novella made from the short prompt Stranded on the Other Side finalist.*** Reviewed by @MajesticIncAwards and reviewer @amaranthinepoetryKumpleto
Blackwood
Eli was barely staying afloat before the apocalypse. Working long shifts, taking care of his younger brother, and just trying to figure out what to do with his life. When he finds his mom trying to take a chunk out of her youngest son though, Eli knows what was happening. Years of movies and video games had made the Zombie Apocalypse a running joke for the generation, but Eli knew it wasn't a joke he could take. Will Eli finally be free of the limitations that his past held, will he be free from them? Or will they come back after he's already moved on? **This is the original version, I am currently working on rewriting the entire story**Kumpleto

The Medium
Seventeen year-old spirit medium Emily Chambers has a problem. Actually, she has several. As if seeing dead people isn't a big enough social disadvantage, she also has to contend with an escaped demon and a handsome ghost with a secret past. And then there's the question of her parentage. Being born an entire year after her father's death (yes, a year) and without the pale skin of other respectable English ladies, Emily is as much a mystery as the dead boy assigned to her. Jacob Beaufort's spirit has been unable to crossover since his death several months ago. It might have something to do with the fact he was murdered. Or it might not. All he knows is, he has been assigned by the Otherworld's administrators to a girl named Emily. A girl who can see and touch him. A girl who released a shape-shifting demon into the mortal realm. Together they must send the demon back before it wreaks havoc on London. It should be a simple assignment, but they soon learn there's nothing simple when a live girl and a dead boy fall in love. THE MEDIUM is the first book in the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy. Yes, that's *trilogy* - meaning not everything will be wrapped up nicely at the end of The Medium. There are 2 more books after it, both of which are published. Check out my website for details.Kumpleto
