Ailesinin ansızın ölümü zihnini bulandırırken, kaza anlarını dakikalarca araştırmıştı. Kamera kayıtlarına kadar bulmuş, ailesinin ölümünü hafife almayıp derince araştırmıştı. Yalnız başına kaldığı koskoca hayatta rahmine düşen bebeği onu ne kadar ayakta tutmaya çalışsa da tamamen ayağa kaldırmıyordu çünkü Duru, ailesinin yıllarca sakladığı sırları kademe kademe öğrenirken gerçeklerin acısı tokat gibi yüzüne çarpıyor, yalanlarla özenle inşa edilmiş hayatının merdivenleri bir bir kırılıyordu. Bu süreçte Kuzey Ulusoy, Duru'yu ve bebeğini ilk andan beri aralarındaki anlaşmazlığa rağmen kabul etmişti. Bebeğinin annesinin yaşadığı yükler, öğrendiği sarsıcı gerçeklerle yanında duruyordu. Ama Duru da Kuzey de farkındaydı ki; Duru, üzerine yıkılan enkazdan kurtulduğunda, aynı Duru olmayacaktı...
