After waking up from a coma, Lanna was not prepared to lose all of her memories. She can’t remember who she is, what she does, or why she was with the people around her. One thing for Lanna is strange; she can remember the common facts. Lanna can remember protons and neutrons make up a nucleus, how to drive, and every world from the French language, yet she can’t remember anything from her personal history. She can’t remember her name, who her mother is, or even what school she attended. Every time she tries to bring up the information, she comes up with a blank slate. Through a time of love, heartbreak, and lies, Lanna will slowly put her memory back together piece by piece, even if it kills her.
Sky grew up in an underground city. The whole city was in fear of a war happening, which is the reason for the life the people lived underground. The only way the people can breathe fresh oxygen is by a hole in a hidden room that leads up to the surface. The hole and the room are guarded by burly guards, and only people over the age of eighteen are allowed to leave the underground city to collect resources.
Sky dislikes these arrangements, however. She wants to see the world with her own eyes before she reaches the age of eighteen. Her plan works, but a few minutes after she goes outside, she gets kidnapped.
Is it safe for Sky to escape and return home? Or does she have to stay trapped forever?
