Hallie Cosgrove.
Known to her family as: The Girl Who Lived. Although taken straight of the Harry Potter series, in theory she truly was lucky to be alive. No, she did not receive a lightning bolt type scar on her forehead from Voldemort, nor did she become a wizard but, she did become a witness in the murder of parents and almost her own.
The man on the phone told her to run. But back then Hallie only thought it was a joke. She was a teenager after all.
Following her parents death however, she discovered that whoever was on the other end of the line knew exactly what was going to happen, but because her teenage mind told her 'it was only a prank caller' she didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the two people she loved most.
Several years later and a possible serial killer or killers are on the loose with one thing in common. The targets were all teenagers, ranging from the age of thirteen to seventeen. No reasons for the deaths were found and the majority of the cases were dropped due to lack of evidence and no suspects.
Now the chance has risen for Hallie to take charge after a discovery that could link all these cases together, including her parents' own. Can she figure out who's truly behind this with help from her best friend and detective Jamie Harrison, her frenemy detective Alice Flores and the Captain before it's too late?

You may ask, the answer is simple, hunt. No.2 - The Motor Way : two men dragged into a fight for survival in a seemingly alive wood, that sends demonic creatures after them, to hunt and kill them as they try to find there way back. No.3 - The interrogation : when a small group of friends is dragged into a police station for a crime none of them admit to its all a matter of time before the truth like most things is revealed. No.4 - the feather : a short righting of a person dealing with the moral dilemma of mercy killing an injured bird. No.5 - Traffic : the story of a lawful man in a lawless place. A desperate sheriff turns to crime in order to support his ailing son, and his troubled wife all the while he comes to terms with his own inability to addiquatly hold up the law he dedicated his life to. No.6 - Ology : a zoo keeper has dark secrets, as do we all. But when his secrets strole into the public affairs for how much longer can he cover up his outlandish experimentation. No.7 - Backgammon : a 1950s detective finds himself entangled in a web of crimes, or crimes thwarted by a vigilante, now with all eyes on him he has to think, is this outlaw better or worse for the dangerous streets, or is he even more use than the officers he work with. No.8 - Moth : a lighthouse worker beguins expireancing strange things, is this due to his isolation or is something afoot, something evil... something dangerous.
