Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing.
Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago.
Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused.
Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. If you do somehow end up reading it, and wether you hate it or kinda like it, please tell me what you think!
Cover art is not by me! (Couldn't read the name but it started with Cathy I think)
Edit: it is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr! I am so sorry for stealing this in the past, if you somehow see this do forgive me!
~
2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed.
...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao.
Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol.
For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. In the meantime, thanks for reading all this, and I hope whoever is still reading Varian fanfiction in this economy is living their best life.
Thanks a ton,
Milo

𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚: Abeyance || D.S & S.S (TVD) **REWRITING**
****REWRITING IN PROCESS**** A thousand years ago, seven stars sat illuminated in the night sky, surrounded by the moon, wrapped around its comfort and loving embrace, secured in the safety net that always provided them protection. Too soon, it all went wrong. Torn apart and ripped away from the seams that held them together. No longer did the stars light up in the night sky, for their moon was the light in the darkness that lit them up as a whole. However, no one told them everything was based on a prophecy, a curse and a lie. The stars believed their moon was forever taken away, and they would always be dosed in bloodshed and darkness. So imagine, a thousand years later, when they come upon their very moon, who they believed was to be very dead, alive with a beating heart, obliterated of memories and dispossessed of powers. Who would subject their moon to such harrowing pain? The main questions are who are they, why and how? Underbelly
Following his trial, Varian is sentenced to servitude in Ingvarr to pay for damages to Corona. Lieutenant Cassandra is supposed to escort him there, but Rapunzel wants her best friend on her journey. To compromise, the Princess suggests taking Varian with them. ------------------- Updates will typically release on Sundays at 8AM EDT. The cover art is made by yours truly, and was inspired by an album cover from my favorite music artist, Kiltro! Go check out their music- which also inspired the name of this story, haha. My personal favorite song in Underbelly (the album) is Errasuriz. Also! I write everything in google docs, which is where I format everything for AO3 (this work is cross-posted to AO3). So if you spot any letters encased in angled brackets, I apologize, it's how I italicize words, strike them out, and format for AO3. I will do my best to edit them out for you. (Note: All rights go to Disney. While this story involves new dialogue, setting, and storyline, some elements remain the same. Think of it like an artist watermarking fanart, the art is yours but the character is not.)
Blinded By Stardust
Cass had been looking for her destiny outside of Corona for several months when she gets an invitation to Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding and decides to go back. When she gets there, she's told Varian had been working on his water heaters in the tunnels under the castle and goes down to find him unconscious on the ground. Hours after he was found, Varian wakes up not only blind, but very sick. This is my first fanfic so tell me what you think, be honest. If you're reading this on teenfic.net, THIS FIC WAS STOLEN FROM WATTPAD AND AO3!!
