What is the purest thing in this world?
It could be different things for different people. For a scientist, an element in a particular form. For a devote, their belief in God. For a child, their mothers' love.
For me? It is us, or the ashes that remain of what we were used to be.
They say that you can burn down bodies and buildings, turning them to ash, but you can't reduce ash any further. Ash is permanent and irreversible, where everything else is temporary. Ash is the purest thing in the world. Just like us, unadulterated and doomed from the start.

Sometimes he just wished Miguel and him could love each other at the same time. Ash and Miguel came from completely opposite ends of life. Miguel hadn't had a day where he'd felt unloved between his mother and sister. He'd always been taken care of no matter what it cost those he loved. Ash Lawrence grew up in a house not a home. It was a shell of a home a graveyard of what could've been. But Miguel starts making him feel at home, Miguel had always had a deep void. Never ending feeling of loneliness that was suffocating him. He didn't have a reason to feel alone but he did. Never talking about his feelings, never telling people that under all the smiles he brought. There was a deep dark unsettling feeling, he couldn't shake. Until he was stood infront of ash Lawrence, meeting the boy for the first time. The New Superhero
Ash gently floated through the breeze of the wind, and all of the ash was coming from the place that had fallen before my very eyes. I leaned my body up, so that I could get a better view of this place in front of me. I took in a deep breath as I smiled, the loud sounds and the beating of my heart, along with the fear and anxiety that I had felt before, all went away with the silence. Times like these were hard to come by after all of the things that I have been through. Though no matter how many times I wanted to feel victorious, no matter how many times I wanted to tell myself that it was all over, I couldn't. This happened quite frequently and fast, one second I get powers from a magic rock, and the next second, well, I wish I had never touched that rock. Sometimes I think I'm going to go insane, I wish I could go back in time and be a normal kid once more. It was better then, I was less stressed, and I didn't have villains to deal with, but I know eventually I will be at peace, and I won't have a care in the world. Ash is working on minimum wage, barely having money for rent and a sick mother whose treatments he's trying to cover. But even if they lack money, they have plenty of love. Miles' family has money to bathe in, but even his fairest efforts aren't enough to please his demanding dad.
