A boy bound to his home by illness peers out into the world wishing to share a part in it. A girl, bored by the world she lives in wishes to have something more to life. These two never would have normally met, but something strange happens. A mysterious tornado sends them to a world of both unimaginable wonder and terror. Together they search for a way out and for what brought them there. Will they ever get out? Who brought them there? What happens times get too tough for them to handle? Welcome to Evergreen
During winter break, a retreat welcomes 20 students from a nearby city school into Evergreen, a small friendly mountain town known for it's scenic views and cozy inns sought after for the vacation vibe. Welcomed to take part in a retreat promoting mindfulness and self-growth, the students on this trip find this as the opportunity to do everything but that. On a hike, a group of students wander out to a nearby grotto where they discover a plethora of flowers. Entranced by their beauty, they decide to take some back with them. Within hours of this event, one of their chaperones falls ill. She becomes extremely irritable and erratic with everyone she encounters in town. Soon enough, other townspeople begin to fall ill with similar symptoms and this sends a wave of panic over the town and its inhabitants. The local sheriff decides to place a quarantine on the town to avoid new people from becoming affected and preventing those who are ill from leaving and possibly spreading the mysterious malady. It seems no one from the outside world is aware of what is happening and because people are succumbing to this mysterious ailment, there is no one making it down the mountain safe enough to reach someone for help. In the news, a huge storm is forecasted, thus the kids must decide whether to forge their potential fate or take the trip down.

Sheila, was falling, she didn't know why, or how, but when she finally hit the ground, she didn't know who she was , where she was from, or why she was in this place. But there were people there, they told her who she was, and how she got here. But she was still confused. Then she met Kendra, she seemed to know all about this place, apparently this is the edge, and about every two months or so, a new boy or girl is delivered into the edge. But Sheila feels that something is wrong, that the edge isn't as safe as people tell her. She starts having nightmares, her close friends start turning against her, and she just wants to be safe again, she wants to get out of the edge. Will Sheila make it out of the edge?
