{Set after one year after TLJ.} The Resistance's numbers have increased since the Battle on Crait, but the First Order is gaining on them. In the midst of it all, Rey and Kylo/Ben's force bond continues to strengthen.
Note: This is kind of an Episode 9 fan-fic/story not just Reylo! But it's still a Reylo story!

Confronting Fear
"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... The Resistance tried to attack the First Order but it failed. Many are dead, many are prisoners and only a few escaped. Kylo Ren was interrogating all of the prisoners and killing them if they were useless. He killed men, women and children. It didn't matter to him. I was taken prisoner. I was with the Resistance, hiding the fact that I could use the Force, hiding my past. And then, it got uncovered, by Kylo Ren, when he interrogated me. And somehow, I survived. But whether my survival was a good thing or a bad thing was yet to be known... Takes place about a year after The Force Awakens (this is an AU). Star Wars: Duel of the Fates
This is my version of the third chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy. I will not change anything that happened in either Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I will uphold the restrictions that resulted from the sad death of Carrie Fisher and will only draw from the deleted scenes or audio from pre-existing Star Wars movies and properties. Whilst I appreciated what Last Jedi was trying to do, I did not actually like it. However, I have no intention of undoing any of the main plot points or revelations that were in it. E.g. Rey will certainly not be a Palpatine. The story will not contain any Reylo. I know, I know: I love it too, but it was really weird seeing it as canon in the Rise of Skywalker. Do not expect it here. I am a big Star Wars fan and will be adding things from as wide a field as possible. All planets will be based on actual places mentioned or visited in the various movies and tv shows. Rey, an abandoned nobody, fought side by side with the powerful Kylo Ren. She saw a future in him, a redemption of Ben Solo. She believed it, and a part of her still does Kylo Ren, Ben Solo, the son of a Skywalker and the grandson of Darth Vader, turned to the dark side by the never calm conflict within him. He killed his own Supreme Leader for the scavenger girl, but now it seems the girl has no more faith in Ben Solo and he is lost. After the Battle of Crait, Rey shut the door on the new Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. Only days before, she was sure that she could bring back Ben Solo, but now, shes not so sure anymore. She's lost faith in him, she believes her vision was only a vision. But she just can't seem to forget the look in his eyes when he fought by her, when he killed his Supreme Leader, when he understood her after the dark cave consumed her. She can't seem to forget him. Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. A post "The Rise of Skywalker" story. Months have passed since the end of the war against Emperor Palpatine, since Rey lost her dyad in the Force, Ben Solo, and found a new home on the Lars's moisture farm on Tatooine. Ever since she settled in on the desert planet, Rey started training a new order of Jedi, teaching them about the balance of the Force, taking her mind off of what happened on Exegol until after her lessons, because that's when she tries to reach out in the Force to search for him. For Ben Solo. But even after months of trying to reach out to him day after day, Rey still fails, believing he doesn't want to see her. She is frustrated and desperate, and about to give up hope until she finds out about a place existing within the Force, a place existing between time and space: the world between worlds. Could Ben be stuck in the world between worlds? Could he have been alive after all? And can Rey bring him back? All characters and planets are from Lucasfilm/Disney.
