"Nargles don't exist."
It was a phrase all too familiar to the eccentric Luna Lovegood; it had been uttered condescendingly by classmates, concernedly by professors, in exasperation by close friends- to the world, 'Nargles' simply did not exist.
Yet, to Luna, the idea that anything that didn't necessarily have visual proof automatically did not exist seemed like an extremely restrictive way to live life, and anyway, she had no other word to describe the helpless bundle that had fallen into her palms on Christmas Day, squeaking softly in pain. She and her father had nurtured it back to health, Luna providing love and her father providing facts, and it had been her faithful companion ever since.
Except nargles were known to be the epitome of trouble, and Luna soon found herself in some trouble indeed. When she unfastened the silver heart locket tied around Selene's neck, she was surprised to find a strange, but quite familiar message and, little did she know- it was the start to a series of unforgettable adventures.
But, as her mother always said, life is a beautiful fairytale, and, just maybe, this one was Cinderella.
