Bright flashing colors,

Filled my mind until I was drowning in its symphony.

They all came to me in episodes -

Violet ; the cape that hung on my shoulders.
Indigo ; the lake I swam to reach the stars.
Blue ; the single tear that fell down my cheek.
Green ; the leaves that sprang in my heart.
Yellow ; the single flower that bloomed atop ashes.
Orange ; the warmth that seared through my veins.
Red ; the lips that stole my life.

And one word trumpeted in my head,

"Mate"

The world froze."
