The ball of a life time is about to begin. Cheyenne will go to any length's necessary to make sure that her sister doesn't get back together with her ex-boyfriend but with the annual masquerade ball to prepare for, her boyfriend caring more about his trouble-some best friend and a dark secret to hold life isn't exactly easy for her. Especially when all of her friend's begin to dump all of their problem's upon her, causing her more heartache each time. But when one of her closest friends reveals something that hurts Cheyenne more than any other secret has, she finally begins to see a life beyond the mask she don's every day. The fake smile's and laugh's begin to fade and slowly her world unravels before her very eyes; how much more can she take before she break's. The masquerade ball started off the holiday season and from September to December it was all the teenagers of the town could talk about. That and who they were going with and the outfits they were wearing, every year the outfits got more and more extravagant and beautiful. It helped that all of the people on the guest list just so happened to have plenty in the bank, plus all of the teenagers on the guest list had their parent's wrapped around their little fingers.
