When the Smoke Clears is a visceral, slow-burn fanfiction set in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2. You are Harlan van der Linde's daughter - born into outlaw blood, but raised in a house ruled by fear. After years of silence, years of enduring the man who killed your mother and kept you captive, you finally break free - leaving behind blood, fire, and a past you can never outrun. You flee to the only place that might still feel like home: Dutch van der Linde's camp.
