The world is insane. So insane that people have been fighting to the 12 people every year has been fighting to the death since the 1400s. The only people know why we started doing this is the main family that controls what is known as "The Ancient Battle" the name has changed over time, but now this is the forever name. The Keys Family runs the whole battle. Over the years the technology has advanced so much that the game has so how changed for the worse. The citizens didn't know that was possible. The year is now 2100, this year is 700th anniversary of the battle. For the past 700 years the rules have stayed mostly the same: Teams of 2, fight to the death, winners fight until they win 3 battles so their family is taken out of the running forever or until they die, weapons of the Keys choosing, no teaming with other teams, and the final rule no fake deaths. The last rule is the worst. Whoever takes the chance of faking their defeat will face a penalty.

My friends and I role play a lot in this website called chatzy.com. We have this whole world mapped out based on the Hunger Games. We live in two mansions. One is the main mansion, where we all used to live until it got really crowded, and then there is the second mansion, which is by a waterfall, just a ten minute walk away. There's also a tree house, but only Gracie and Andrea live there. Most of us have super powers. I mean, if the Capitol can make mutts, surely we can give ourselves super powers. Gracie has black wings, Talia has super speed, Chris has super strength, Derrick and Cameron can make themselves invisible. Brendan can't get hurt or feel pain. We all have issues here. Sierra doesn't talk. Andrea has scars on her face. Chris is a germaphobe. Gracie was once anorexic. Cameron was once an assassin. We all have reasons for running away from the districts and the Capitol, but we've all found sanctuary here. We've defended our home for so long. Now it is time to start fighting back.Complete

A Tournament is held once a year, where 34 children between the ages of 12 and 18 from 19 Regions battle for a chance to be the sole Champion. It has been going on for almost a hundred years. It is a tradition at this point. Everyone accepts it as what it is. Then, one year, the rules change. Instead of children between the ages of 12 and 18, they make it adults between the ages of 18 to 35. With this change, a woman is selected: Mavery. Mavery's past is quickly brought to the forefront. A truth about a death everyone assumed happened 15 years ago of one of their Champions. She has been alive this whole time, trying to hide from her past that is now forcing its way into everyone's present. She will now have to show everyone the truth and face the consequences of her actions, both past and present. She will be forced to battle with her wits in a Tournament she knows will kill her, and she is almost content with that, content with the fact she can finally rest. However, the rest of the nation will not let her die and will bring her back to life, kicking and screaming. They will make her fight for others and herself. Follow Mavery as she deals with her past, present, and future. Life, death, fake smiles, a performance, beauty, promises broken and more kept, all of these things and more stand in her way of finding an ending she feels she rightfully deserves and wants.

Life for victors is still hard. Nobody wins the game; there are only survivors. Johanna knows that well since her win in the 68th game and her family suffering the consequence of her not bending the knee to the Capitol. She grew cold, distant, and snappy more than before, an angry woman, sending off two tributes to die each year, having stopped caring about anything since there was no one left to hurt to get to her. That was until the 71st group of tributes showed up, a boy and a girl born into the wrong district, to the wrong fate. And finally, there was a chance for District 7 to gain another winner in its small ranks. Finally, there was a chance for Johanna to open up to the world of feelings again. They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. A teen girl, pitch black hair, black eyes, white skin. Her height is 5'8. People are scared of her, not just because of her strength but because of they way she kills. She lived in this hell hole, where they take her to rooms. Examine. Fight. She knows she won't be able to entertain them for long. She decides to run. Soul. Brown hair as mud, blue eyes as the sky. Hight 6'2. Tanned and toned body. Death's best friend in the hell hole they're in, he's as cold as she is. But shows a bit of sympathy. Well... More than her at least. He's been there for her, ever since she entered this place of crap. They're the two most feared. As some people say, they're a perfect couple. Killing. Fighting. Cold hearted creatures.
