Last year I died.

Two weeks ago I woke up.

********************************

One year ago Hayden Grey Carter was murdered. Her Mom assumed she ran away, went to the city to start a new life, she wasn't surprised. But in reality she was six feet under, only miles from their country home, for a year. When she wakes up and returns home, she doesn't tell her parents about her death, knowing that her mother will only think she's on drugs. In true strict/helicopter Mom fashion, Grey is forced back into the world of high school. Now a junior and a year behind she's got a lot of catching up to do.

Especially on gossip.

Because the new mysterious "bad boy" has everyone talking.

But Hayden is only shocked.

Because she recognizes him.

She saw him when she was dead.

Inspired by Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace. So if you recognize some parts that may be why. I do not own any rights to that book. I'm not 100% what else to like legally say but yeah🤷‍♀️😂

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else. Layla Stevens is your average seventeen year-old girl, just trying to get through high school, with the friends she loves and doing the things she loves. When these two cross paths accidentally in an unusual way, they leave and never expect to speak to each other again. But fate has other plans. Layla finds her way into Reece's life and Reece doesn't know what to do about it. This ray of Sunshine suddenly meant something to him. She understood him when it seemed like no one else did. And he protected her from everyone who tried to hurt His Sunshine. Get ready for a story filled with bad pick-up lines, twin telepathy and a lot of fighting. Like, a LOT. Thanks for that one, Reece.

As a result of the tragic death of her father; Heaven Foster's life has mouldered into a exasperating cycle of moving from one home to another. Consequently, not staying in a house for more than a year means having to move schools more times than a typical seventeen year old girl should. Heaven is used to blending in with the crowd, so that she can be unnoticed by people, but being unnoticed while you're the new student of Lakeswood high school is not that easy. Let's just say that stumbling across a certain group of bad boys enumerates to the trouble, including crashing- literally into the most feared one of them all. Dominant. Menacing. Mysterious. Unpredictable. Cold. Blake Martinez. ******************************************************** MUST READ Just now I have come onto this app again to check it out, and I am overwhelmed with all your kind messages and wishes for me to update! I began writing this book when I was very young and only a couple years later, I had stumbled across this app again and decided to look at what I created. In my spare time, i decided to edit as much as I could and began to write new chapters. Writing was a little hobby of mine, something that I didn't take seriously as I only wrote for fun. I definitely didn't think that my book would get this many readers!! Thank you to all of you who genuinely took time to read my book. I deeply apologise for keeping you all waiting, and left wondering if I was going ahead with this story or not. Sadly, to all of my readers who was looking forward to reading more of my story. I am sorry to say that I will not be working on this book anymore. Perhaps in the later future Heaven and Blake will make an epic return! However, as of now, their love story remains how it is. Thank you!

Avery wants to nail the man responsible for her sister's disappearance, CEO Carter Thebes, but the last thing she expects is to feel sorry for him, or worse, develop feelings. Can she unearth his secret before her emotions undo her efforts? *** Avery Honey, a top graduate from the police academy, isn't donning her police uniform. She is slipping into pencil skirts and killer heels as the newest PA to the man every media outlet dubs "BadBoy", Carter Thebes, CEO and face of Thebes & Thebes Luxury Realty. The only man who knows where her sister is. But where her senior officers see a runaway, she smells foul play. After all, her timid sister wouldn't leave the family without a word. By hook or crook, Avery means to get Carter's confession and put some cuffs on him. But is the art of seduction as easy as pie, or is there more to the man she's trying to nail? One moment, Colton Thebes was building a school in a remote village halfway across the world, the next, he's stuck playing Carter, his wayward twin, for the company's sake. Worse, ever since Avery Honey walked into his office with that smile and a dripping wet shirt, he's willing to embrace his 'role' more. Since then, every moment with her is a struggle to keep the farce up. Can Colton continue to pretend, or will he trade his secrets for a chance at love? After all, Avery's sister isn't the only one missing. [NOTE: This is the first draft ONLY.
