Alex Millichamp's Leben konnte nicht besser laufen. Er war seit dreieinhalb Jahren mit seiner Freundin Marieke zusammen. Sie haben sich damals bei einem Event für Fotografie kennen und lieben gelernt. Alex lebt in einer kleinen Wohnung in Bristol und Marieke ist grad zu besuch bei ihm, da sie ursprünglich in Deutschland lebte. Doch vor ca 9 Monaten passierte etwas was Alex leben komplett auf dem Kopf stellte. Marieke hatte einen schweren Unfall bei einem Shooting und erlitt die schlimmsten Verletzungen und fiel ins künstliche Koma. Alex saß seit Tag eins an ihrem Bett, hielt ihre Hand und schrieb ihr jeden Tag einen Brief, indem er seine Gefühle beschrieb. Einen Tag bevor sie 9 Monate im Koma lag, passierte das woran die wenigsten noch geglaubt hätten. Marieke wachte tatsächlich auf. Alex war voller Freude das er weinte und direkt einen Arzt holte. Der Arzt Untersuchte Marieke. Sie war noch schwach, doch als der Arzt fragte ob sie weiß wer Alex ist blieb ihm das Herz stehen. Sie hatte alle Erinnerungen verloren und wusste nur noch wer sie war. Alex blieb stark und wusste das es ein schwerer Kampf war ihre liebe zurück zu gewinnen, aber dies nahm er in kauf. Schafft er es ihre Liebe zurück zu gewinnen?
