Now, usually I'm quite level headed. But right now? Right now my heart hammered frantically against my chest as he pressed closer. 
Those mischievous green eyes bore into mine and I couldn't breathe, couldn't move, not even to mention think clearly.

His smell was intoxicating as he leaned in, closing the already too small distance between us. My eyes closed out of their own accord as his face inched closer, his breath dancing on my lips.
Just a few more seconds.... 

His deep laughter echoed through the room, bringing me back to reality. 

"Now, now Leslie, here I thought you were the only girl unaffected by all my charm," he bellowed, wearing the most annoying smirk I have ever seen. 

What the hell? What had just happened? 

No no no no.
Taking my shocked silence as cue, Mason leaned a bit closer, whispering huskily, "I told you I'd get back at you Carter, and trust me I'm just getting started." 

That asshole! Who does he think he is treating ME like I'm one of his little groupies?!

Oh, he think he's won?? 
He was right, this was definitely NOT over. 
I'd teach him exactly why messing with Leslie Carter was a very, very bad idea.

"He's lucky I let him live!" He kicks the chair he was sitting on, "I can't stand the thought of anyone hurting you." He takes slow steady steps towards me and I realise I've no where to escape to. Before I can comprehend what to do, his chest is blocking my view and his scent is tampering with my sanity. ***** There's not much going on in Maya's life and with her cousin moving out, she's certain life will only continue to be boring. The plan is to stick to routine and go on with life, continously escaping to fictional worlds and focusing on school. Mason's the new kid across the street who just seems to have trouble following him. His plan is to keep his head down and his dark, dangerous world a secret. When Maya finds herself entangled in his secret world, Mason's forced to do everything in his power to protect her. Amidst boxing lessons and impromptu road trips to safe houses, a little spark starts to fly.

Now meet Reed Carter the complete opposite, he is anything but innocent, he uses girls and throws them away like dirty tissues but when he sees something he wants he gets it. Reed is possessive and has absolute anger problems. Reed has a secret that nobody knows and the girl that he seems to get angry when he sees other guys looking at her might be the one to find out. When something happens and Reed is the only way to save her, imagine what will happen when a guy with anger issues has to deal with a 19 year old girl that looks and behaves like a 13 year old teenger. I'm running, my dress bunched up in my fists. But I'm not running for my life I'm running for his, and when I see him I stop. There is one bulky man on either side of him, they have their arms linking his, he's kneeling in front of someone with raven black hair. As we get closer, I see his pain in the way he's holding himself, his brown hair is clouding his face. Something catches in my throat as I see him bent forward, almost looking limp. The panic is slowly eating me up on the inside. 'Please lift your head, let me see your eyes' I pray inside my head. He can't be gone. It's almost like he hears my prayers as he looks up, his blue eyes as deep as the ocean depths, knocks the breath out of me as per usual. I close my eyes and thank God for keeping him alive. The right side of his jaw is all purple and red. A cut on the other side of his face, which is oozing with the red liquid. He suddenly looks past the black haired male to look at us, reassurance washing over his features. It's when he sees me that his eyes widen, and the panic grows by the second. He goes from a slump to picking himself upright. He's hurt. Badly. The black haired man spins around as we walk closer in their direction. All 6 of us stop as I catch a glimpse of the face. A deadly grin appears on his wicked face. "Boys, I've been waiting for you" He shouts loud and clear.
