Mature
(Sequel to Requiem.) With the rise and fall of Trask Industries, the world now knows of mutants; what the humanrace does with this knowledge remains to be seen. There is a mutual understanding it seems, but even for someone such as Erik, he can't help but find it a little strange to try and settle down into suburban life. However, Liesel for one seems to be having a whale of a time! No longer on the run, having somewhere to live - with Erik no less! - it's literally all she's ever asked for...but how come, despite leaving America to try and start a new life together, trouble can't help but still rear its ugly head and cause problems? The rise of an old God seeking refuge and reincarnation is not something to be taken lightly, nor is an intergalactic problem who takes over a new friend. Whatever the problem, it's still something that will get tackled head on by Erik, and he isn't going to do it alone; after all, him and Liesel have always been together, he couldn't think of anyone better to face an uncertain future with, than her.

"Give me a reason then." The boy demanded, eyes fuelled by a rage that was not unknown to him. "What?" Emmett questioned. "Give me a reason, tell me a lie, that contradicts to what you feel for me and I swear to you, I'd leave you alone." "I don't feel anything for you." Emmett easily lied, ignoring the ache in his heart at his words. "Not good enough." Emmett lashed out, shaking with agony as he had never known as his voice quivered pathetically, "I look at you and I see my world-shattering into these despicable shards of audaciousness that reflect my only desires, otherwise deemed unworthy by the universe. This is what I truly feel for you." "Is that what you really feel for me, darlin'?" "Yes and don't call me that, my name is-" "I don't care what your name is, just answer me." The boy vehemently interrupted, fiercely questioning him again. - Can a broken boy find love in an ostracised world where gender roles and even sexual desire is shaped to suit the society? I'm so grateful for this opportunity to restrict myself exclusively to one-night stands and can't wait to see where this decision takes me. Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I will start as I mean to go on: I plan on being as useless as the G in lasagna." He'd disappeared into his room, coming back with a large bottle of scotch. "Dear liver, it's going to be a rough ride till the end of the year. Stay strong my precious champion, stay strong," he mumbled, rubbing his beer belly. "Adulthood in general is bullshit." "Life is bullshit," I corrected him. "Aww, our dark little bundle of thunderstorm," Seamus fake-cooed. "Why did adults lie to us all those years about how great it is, making it sound like there's an obvious path, a life plan that's a matter of course."
