The Only Way Out

The city was always safe. Protected. Prosperous. They had a sky scraper, where the Trainers worked hard to get things done, where the Keeper watched everything run smoothy. The city had Dogs that made sure nothing bad happened, so mothers could put their kids to sleep without checking under the bed, in the closet- the demons were outside of the Barrier. Nothing bad could get in. Everything was perfectly fine. That is, until someone tries to get out. Word of rebellion is spread when McKenna's dad tried to escape, creating the first generation of the rebellion, and now McKenna carries on the uprising. Trying to break down the Barrier, McKenna stands to fight the Keeper, but there's one thing- the sky scraper stands too.
