Ireneya has always been on her toes. Not that you can blame her though, living in a world that has been destroyed by the Gifted can make you quite jumpy. The Gifted were the chosen generation that were genetically modified to serve in extreme events such as soldiers in war.
However, Project Insight destroyed them after the Gifted started asking for rights of their own. The world in truth feared them and their power. After the war, the government, or at least what was left of it, shut down the project in hopes of restarting.
But not everything is as it seems...
