Twenty-two year old Willow Bennett is a walking life crisis. Unsure of what her future holds, her estranged grandmother, Ruth Bennett, suddenly contacts her and wants Willow to travel to her boardinghouse.
Once there, she sees that the boardinghouse is a glorified geriatrics ward filled with Ruth's friends. After a few days of acclimating, Ruth lays down a bombshell. Ruth and the boarders are all going to a retirement facility, and Ruth is leaving The Moors Boardinghouse to Willow.
Thus, begins Willow's search for new boarders and meeting many strange people along the way.
