In a world where reputation and popularity are what your rights, favor, and status depends on, Sophie Foster finds the system moronic and unfair.

She puts herself at the bottom of the popularity ladder, laying low and out of sight, sucombing to being classified as an Offbeat. At the same time, juggling her lives as the Moonlark, the criminal, and a regular Foxfire student.

But, when all that she'd worked to keep hidden is broken down when the Neverseen reveals her secrets in front of everyone, life changes drastically, in every sense of the word.

A boy, Keefe Sencen, walks into her world, and he doesn't seem like he's leaving anytime soon. Midterms are coming up, people are finding out who she is, she's being hunted down, and life has never been so stressful.

But on top of everything, the Neverseen are causing more trouble than they ever have, seeking out the supposed myths, the supposed legends, the Power Crystals.

She quickly finds that the crystals are even more real, more dangerous, than she ever could have imagined. And with them, the Neverseen could take over and destroy the Lost Cities.

Sophie, and some potential friends that she meets along the way, must find all the crystals before the next Blue Moon, when they will be awakened from being hidden away many years ago.

Racing against the Neverseen, juggling schoolwork with battling for their lives, working to stay away from being exiled - will Sophie and her potential friends be able to stop the Neverseen once and for all?

Or will the Elvin world, the Lost Cities, the planet of Earth, be forever doomed?
