A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs. Then they got onto a portal towards the distant future, where the world is extremely warm, flooded with only a few islands, and a swarm of giant hybrid animals covers the planet. The surviving humans can only live underwater, and only the hybrid humans live on the ocean's surface with man-made islands. The rest of the journey is the story of how the world came to be, foretold by an elite soldier from the Underwater City to the Duck Hunters. David was the designer of their City, and he was sent back to his time to change the design because their City is near destruction.

Dell's sister Cal has always been the announcer of tiny disasters, so when she says that something is wrong with their father, Dell thinks nothing of it. But it's not nothing.
