The earth is just a dry leftover from what it was earlier. No wonder, people escape on other planets, with a surface just made out of water. Cretecae.

Ivy is hoping of a new life on the whale capturing ship, the Pequod. It's a safe and comfortable place, like a new home for her. But after a few months, things started to change...

A Story (based on the Roman of Morton Rhue) with funny, but also serious and romantical scenes.

Volume 1 of CANAISIS ∞ The Last Living Ship trilogy (Chronicles of Canaisis 1) Can a ship, born to sail the ocean of stars to ensure Humankind's survival, save her Captain from the void within his own heart? ∞ ∞ ∞ Canaisis is the last of her kind, a Living Ship forged with Mankind's most advanced technology and artificial intelligence. Together with her Captain, she sails the cold, dark void between stars at multiple times the speed of light-to ensure Humanity's survival. As Canaisis agrees to carry a corporation's entire personelle to their new colony planet, Captain Gareth Levant finds his solitude interrupted by a new culture and a woman whose Gift threatens to unlock the pain caged within his heart. A pain he's carried since before the day he first launched... centuries ago. As if that is not enough, something about Earth's Citizens sanctioning the corporation's relocation rings falsely with undertones that has Captain Levant on edge. He will do anything to keep his ship and passengers safe. Captain Levant loves his ship, as any good captain does since the beginning of time-whether with wind, sail and ocean waves as in the days of old, or in the vast depths of space. But if Canaisis were able to return that love, could it burn bright enough to light the way through the void within the Captain's own heart? Or does it require the Gift of human touch? ∞ ∞ ∞ By @kemorgan65 and @RavenRock2112 ∞ ∞ ∞ A prequel to the pre-story of #ShadowOfThePastTrilogy ∞ The Displaced. ∞ ∞ ∞ SEQUELS: Canaisis ∞ A Captain's Journey Canaisis ∞ A Shard Of Code ∞ ∞ ∞ REVIEW by @Ray_Of_Sunshine9 "...loved the overall themes within the story, and what it meant for me as a person - a mission of delivering hope and finding a new home. ... A 2019 Wattys entry deeply into climate change, global warming, and environmental destruction, especially the nuclear kind! A lot of true facts are embedded in this story which has both true and fictional characters. Who is to be believed is for you to decide. The chapters are many but many are short. Still, it is a full-sized novel with promise for future adventures. Plot: An international crew of scientists board a large state-of -the art oceanographic vessel privately funded by an anonymous source. The itinerary is to travel down the west coast of the Americas and travel the South Pacific to Antarctica. The team plans to visit many known sites of hydrothermal vents using a device called the MAPR, searching vents for a bacterium that seems promising in use as a way to fight carbon dioxide emissions. But one of the two junior scientists on the team soon realizes that secrets are being kept, and makes promises to keep some, while learning that some onboard have entirely different agendas. To complicate matters, this junior scientist's desire for a special friendship grows in intensity, just as mysterious murmurings and strange sightings intensify. And then, the ship experiences a sequence of events that will draw world attention and leave all of us with more questions than answers. "If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water." "The Immense Journey" by Loren Eiseley "No other place, always this Your earthly landfall, and no ship exists To take you from yourself." By Lawrence Durrell

Undersea

17 parts Complete

This is a story about an under water city called Undersea. It is not a particularly magical place this city, in the way we might expect an under water city to be (with mermaids, talking fish, and so forth) but is instead an everyday sort of place that we might be used to. Except that it is under water. In this story we meet an everyday sort of girl named Sarah, watch her grow, and witness the choices she must make. For in reality this is a story about how certain thoughts and ideas will come to certain conclusions, horrendous as they might be in the end. But here we are getting quite ahead of ourselves. All in good time my friends! Dedications: To Berdella and Maxine (my grandmothers) now passed, and for three yet to be born. Also to Mr. Asimov.
