From a chance errand sent by Takeda Harunobu as she returns to England, Tamara meets Logan Alexander Forbes, a Librarian, with a very much mortal, and human heart. Outside forces having their own momentum, soon see the pair thrown together on much more than a simple request for books, and for Tamara, back towards the clutches of something she hoped to never see again.
