"It was my destiny to do it, and I couldn't. I couldn't do it, Hermione," Draco cried softly.

"Draco, it was your choice not to. Don't worry, everything will soon get better," Hermione said, putting her hand on top of Draco's, looking at him with concern.

"It won't!" Malfoy demanded weakly, "it never will! You don't understand!"

Hermione sighed.

"You're right, I don't understand," She said looking down, defeated. "And as much as I hate not knowing what to do in order to help you, I promise I will always be by your side.
"But you have to allow me, Malfoy."

She wondered if they would ever get there chance, if she even stood a chance at happiness. It was like a curse one with no cure, but what if he was her cure and he simply slipped right through her fingers. - "I'm done playing your games Draco, its exhausting " I looked up at him with pleading eyes, I didn't deserve all of this. I gave him everything but it still wasn't enough. "Choose- me or her" His face scrunched up in shock at my statement, I've never seen him look more conflicted in my life. "Liv this isn't fair-" I cut him off with a stern 'no' I held back the tears that were threatening to pour out. "What you're doing isn't fair, to anyone and especially me" - Important: Voldy never came back fourth year so he isn't alive in this story. -
