Mature
Laila was ten when her mother's ship sank just off the coast of the Kingdome of Asmalen. She woke on the rocky beach of waring shores, surrounded by wreckage and bloated corpse. Sixteen years later, the war is ending and she has settled into a rather comfortable life, give or take a few dangerous moments. (An occupational hazard.)

Things are steady, but a calm sea bodes ill futures.

When a man in a mask approaches and offers a job that very well might end the Kingdome's tenuous treaty, Laila must choose between calm seas or warring tides knowing full well the price she will pay for either.
