I should've noticed. The linger of his gaze on my lips during the interview, his pupils dilated, and not just because of the dimness of the room. The fact that he would call me in for the slightest of mistakes I would make, even if someone else had done the exact, same thing. The casual hand he would put on my shoulder when he was explaining something to me; as if he couldn't have done that from his chair on the opposite side of the table. The way his eyes would roam down my body and back up to my face again, all part of a repetitive, twisted cycle. The span of his attention seemed to always be on me. But that's the thing. I hadn't. And it was surely going to come back to bite me on the rear end. But only time would tell. In the meantime, I would be regretting my life decisions. Oh, why had I decided it would be a good idea to work a part-time job?

Running his large hands slowly down my arms before looping them around my waist possessively. His gaze drifted lazily over my body, lingering on the curve of my breasts visible above the low neckline of my tank top. The air thickened with anticipation as we stood facing each other, neither willing nor wanting to break the electrifying silence that hung between us. I tilted my head up at his tall frame before speaking, "How would my brother feel about his best friend checking out his little sister?" A dark chuckle leaves his mouth, Matío traced lazy circles on my lower back with his index finger. "Your brother left me alone with you, remember? So I guess it's fair game." His voice dropped huskier than usual as he leaned closer to me, his minty breath fanning my neck. He's toying with me, But it won't work. "That's not quite how that works." I respond, pushing his chest to back him away. He won't win against me. Will he? 𝐖𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍'𝐓 𝐁𝐄 𝐅𝐑
