Holland Marx was never really comfortable in his own skin. He felt like a stranger to his family, and a freak to a world that wouldn't fully accept him. He could never be what he was. So he became what they wanted him to be.

However, as Holland's last year of High School is winding to a close, he realizes he doesn't have to be what they want him to be, and hiding his true self is hurting him more than if he exposed himself. Now, with the support of true friends who love him no matter what, and with the unspoken respect of others in his same circumstance, Holland can finally let everyone know that he is Bi.

Author's Note: This story is semi-autobiographical. Certain events in this story are based on events that happened in my own life, although probably dramatized heavily, or changed as to not disrespect certain people who may not wish to be described in this story. If a moment in the story seems a bit too real, it may be because it was, and this is my way of venting.

Also, some of these moments may seem ridiculously fake or absurd. These are probably me describing what I wish had happened, or what I think might happen in other cases. My own coming-out story wasn't spectacular, or even noteworthy. My friends and family more or less accepted it with little to no resistance or questioning. I'm not sure if I'm an outlier, or if that's what normally happens and most LGBT+ media is dramatized to make it more "entertaining", but I'll just leave it as is. Enjoy the book!
