I do love someone." Caitlyn hiccupped, rubbing at her eyes furiously. Vi reached for her, concerned. "Caitlyn, why are you-" "I knew it!" Caitlyn blurted, voice wobbling. Vi blinked. "Knew what?" Caitlyn sniffled. "You do love someone! And-and now I have to compete with them?" Vi opened her mouth-then shut it, utterly baffled. "I-what?" Caitlyn grabbed Vi's hands. "Just-just love me instead!" ---- Caitlyn Kiramman has everything-fame, fortune, and a career that keeps the world watching. Stories of Violyn
A series of loosely connected oneshots, depicting scenes from the life of Caitlyn and Vi in the following few months after Arcane season 2. Some are just blatant slice-of-life fluff, and some have a bit more going on narratively, dealing with stuff like Caitlyn's dad, Vi's drinking habits, the couple's home, Vi's job, etc. I don't want to break the universe, nor build on it too much, so don't expect huge events or many AU chapters. This work is starting to turn into a bit of an anthology, sometimes with wildly different chapters regarding tone, so the last chapter is the Table of Contents with short summaries to make taking your pick easier. The most wanted criminal in Piltover, the infamous Jinx, is finally captured, much thanks to the sheriff's partner, Vi. Unfortunately, it happened accidentally, and just as Vi had learned her sister was seriously ill, and was finally starting to get through to her. To make things even worse, she then learns from Caitlyn that her sister will almost certainly be sentenced to death. But Vi isn't ready to give up on her sister so easily, especially not because of some topside laws. Besides, it's just concrete walls keeping Jinx in, and... she doesn't call Vi Fat Hands for nothing... This book took me WAY longer to write than I thought it would. I published a preview book for it as the second Arcane work I put out, and four books later, here it is. Better late than never, I guess. I hope you enjoy it.
