Her mother never told her that witches were meant to have a circle. Violet was alone. She got her magic from her mother. Her father never really spoke of the subject. Nick Armstrong was among one of her new witchy friends. He was the teenage boy who "dated" almost all the girls at his school. He never cared for a relationship. He was rude and disrespectful.
