Kenneth Phelps is the lead priest at the local church and has strict rules for his family. This leads to his son Travis Phelps to hate his whole being. His problems with his father are bad but he gets to escape at school being the one who pushes people around. Until he meets Sal Fisher or "sally face" a boy with a mask who Travis often fantasizes about despite thinking it's a sin. Due to his love hate for Sal he bullies him and his friends. But Travis and sal get to know each other better and Travis might find someone who is worth sinning for. Sal fisher or "sally face" just moved to the Addison apartments over the summer. He met Larry Johnson his now best friend who introduced him to all his friend's. When school started everything was going smoothly until Travis Phelps the local priests son started bully Sal and his friend's calling them homos and an array of awful things. Despite Travis awful attitude towards sal and his friend's sal tries to befriend Travis and get to the core of his problems After they get close sal might just help Travis find someone who is worth sinning for. Travis grew up knowing a couple things. One of those things was that being gay was a sin, and that if you were gay, or anything like that, you're going to hell. Or at least, that's what he was told. But after an incident with Sal in the boys washroom, Travis starts to think that he might have been wrong the whole time. Larry knows Travis Phelps is the worst. he's a self absorbed, hateful, judgmental, Bible thumping, church boy... or is that how he chooses to be seen, when Larry overhears something that makes Travis sound.. less hateful then usual, he gets curious. Travis Phelps and his church friends are.. horrible, or at least that's what their parents say. instead of being themselves they take their anger out on those who can be themselves, but what happens when they're finally forced to confront their own feelings?
