Kira's mom left when she was little and after that it was never the same. Her dad became a drunk and took his rage out on her. She was forced to hide in her room and basically provide for herself. One night she escapes one of his beatings and runs away. She doesn't make it far though before she is kidnapped by a group of men in search of her mom. When she manages to escape with a strange boy who came to her rescue so many questions will play through her head. Why are they looking for her mom? Where is she? How long will she have to run? And who is the handsome stranger she is running with?
